Gadwal, Telangana – A major cultural event is coming to Pedda Dhanwada village in Rajoli Mandal. On June 20, 2024, the village will unveil statues of two great social reformers — Dr. B.R. Ambedkar and Mahatma Jyotirao Phule.
To promote the upcoming ceremony, organizers launched a poster campaign in Aiza Mandal. Posters were released near the statue of Dr. Ambedkar by the All India Ambedkar Youth Association and several civil society groups. They invited the public, especially youth and supporters, to attend and make the event a big success.
Local leaders shared the importance of honoring these two icons. Dr. Ambedkar, known as the architect of the Indian Constitution, dedicated his life to fighting for equality and justice. Jyotirao Phule worked to bring education to the poor and women, challenging centuries of discrimination.
Nagar Doddi Venkat Ramulu, President of the All-Party Committee in the district, urged people to join the celebration. He said this is a chance to remember two leaders who gave their lives for the upliftment of the oppressed.
Macherla Prakash, District President of the All India Ambedkar Youth Association, officially called on students, activists, and the public to participate. He encouraged people from all parts of the district to gather and honor the legacy of Ambedkar and Phule.
Many local leaders are working hard to organize this event. Key names include Nallabothula Karunakar, Dandora Anjaneyulu, Kurava Pallella of BRSV, Mareppa from the Budaga Jangala Rights Association, Loka Raju, Mozesh from Gattu Mandal, along with Balgara Pratap, Bisanna, Anil, Raju, Shikami, Dr. Raju, and Shastri.
Organizers believe this event will do more than honor two legends. They see it as a powerful reminder of the ongoing fight for social justice, equality, and education for all.
