Union Minister Amit Shah recently visited Vanaparthy to campaign for BJP candidate Bharat Prasad in the Nagar Kurnool parliament constituency. During the event, Shah emphasized the need to bring BJP’s saffron flag to Nagar Kurnool and highlighted the lack of corruption scandals during Narendra Modi’s tenure.
Shah expressed confidence in Modi’s leadership and urged voters to support BJP for the development of Nagar Kurnool. He criticized the Congress party for failing to fulfill promises made during the assembly elections, such as Raitu Bharosa and farmers loan waivers.
Highlighting BJP’s achievements, Shah mentioned the allocation of funds for infrastructure projects like the Soma Shila-Siddeswaram Bridge and development work at Alampur Jogulamba Temples. He also mentioned initiatives like free medical treatment under Ayushman Bharat and financial support for farmers through Kisan Samman Nidhi.
Shah praised BJP for appointing a Dalit president, Ram Nath Kovind, and implementing policies like the abolition of Article 370 and the Triple Talaq Bill for minority women. He contrasted BJP’s allocation of funds for SC welfare with that of the Congress party under Manmohan Singh’s leadership.
The event was attended by several BJP leaders, including former MP P Ramulu, former MLA Ravula Ravindra Nath Reddy, and district presidents Y Sudhakar Rao and S Rama Chandra Reddy.
