In Alluri Sitharamaraju district of Andhra Pradesh, a man named Pandana had two wives. His first wife, Parvathamma, was unable to have children so he married a second wife, Appalamma, who gave birth to a child in 2007. Both wives wanted another child, so they arranged for Pandana to marry a third time. His third marriage to Lavya took place on June 25, 2024.

The news of this unusual situation spread quickly on social media after the wedding invitation went viral. Many people were surprised by the arrangement and some even joked about whether Pandana would marry a fourth time if he wanted more children.
