Union Minister Visits Injured Dalit Activist

Hyderabad: Union Minister of State for Home Affairs, Bandi Sanjay Kumar, visited the home of Nanduraj, a Dalit activist, who was injured during a recent attack on the BJP state office. The Minister met Nanduraj at his residence in Bahadurpura, located in the Old City, to check on his health. During the visit, Nanduraj shared that he had suffered a head injury and had undergone medical treatment. Bandi Sanjay also discussed the details of the attack and wished him a swift recovery.

Minister Criticizes Congress Over Violence

Speaking to the media later, Bandi Sanjay strongly criticized Congress leaders, accusing them of resorting to violence. He alleged that BJP workers were attacked in broad daylight with iron rods, stones, eggs, and sticks, while the police stood by as mere spectators. According to him, this inaction by the police reflects poorly on the Congress-led state government.

He further claimed that the Congress government was encouraging such attacks because it could not tolerate the BJP exposing its corruption and misdeeds. “Governments are supposed to protect their people. How appropriate is it for the government and the police machinery to support these attacks?” Bandi Sanjay questioned.

Warning Against Targeting BJP Workers

The Minister emphasized that the BJP is a party of dedicated workers who sacrifice for the nation and its people. He warned the Congress not to mistake the patience of BJP workers for weakness. “If our workers decide, Gandhi Bhavan won’t have its foundations left, and Congress leaders won’t even be able to step out,” he said.

Bandi Sanjay asserted that the BJP would not be intimidated by Congress’s actions. “Let this be remembered. BJP will not bow to Congress leaders’ attacks and threats. We will continue to expose the failures of the state government and fight until justice is served to the people,” he concluded.
