District Collector B. M. Santhosh recently led a meeting with local bankers to discuss achieving financial targets in Gadwal. He highlighted the importance of banks meeting goals for providing loans related to crops, employment units, small businesses, education, housing, and more. Plans are in place to open a new bank branch in KT Doddi for better financial access.

Santosh commended bankers and DRDO officials for surpassing targets in the previous financial year, making the district a top performer in the state. However, he noted that crop and education loans fell short of expectations. To address this, he urged banks to identify deserving candidates in villages and facilitate loans for them. Village meetings will be organized to raise awareness about available loan schemes.
