The upcoming Lok Sabha elections will be a competition between Telangana’s pride and Gujarat’s arrogance, according to Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy. He made these remarks while speaking at public meetings in Huzurabad under the Karimnagar Lok Sabha constituency. Reddy mentioned that the Congress had previously defeated the BJP in the Assembly elections and was now ready to win in the finals as well.
Reddy criticized the BJP MPs for not achieving anything for the state and therefore lacking the right to ask for votes. He specifically called out sitting MP Bandi Sanjay for failing to secure funds for constituency development and for not speaking up when Modi insulted Telangana during the bifurcation.
The Chief Minister also mentioned the alleged doctored videos of Union Minister Amit Shah and accused the BJP leadership of being “rattled” after he raised the issue of reservation. Reddy emphasized that he would not be deterred by such tactics, drawing parallels to the actions of KCR.
Reddy ridiculed KCR’s predictions of a hung government at the Centre and claimed that Congress would come to power instead. He compared KCR to a ‘snake’ that people thought was dead but was still ready to bite. Reddy also criticized BJP for distributing ‘Akshintalu’ before the event of consecration of Lord Rama at Ayodhya, stating that it should have been done after the event.
In summary, Reddy highlighted the failures of BJP leaders in contributing to the state’s welfare and criticized KCR’s political strategies, while expressing confidence in Congress winning in the upcoming elections.
