Hyderabad: Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka announced that “Telangana Rising–2047” aims for a three-trillion-dollar economy. The young state is advancing swiftly toward this target.
At the opening of the Motilal Oswal Executive Centre at the Indian School of Business (ISB) in Gachibowli on Friday, Bhatti Vikramarka emphasized that Telangana will compete globally. He urged ISB students to support the state’s progress.
He highlighted the state government’s significant investments in education. The launch of Young India Integrated Residential Schools was announced, with 104 schools already underway. Each school is set on 25 acres, with a funding of Rs 200 crore per school.
Additionally, the government is allocating Rs 500 crore to construct a women’s university in honor of Chakali Ailamma.
For the Skill University, Bhatti Vikramarka mentioned that its curriculum is being developed with industry leaders to ensure graduates find jobs quickly. Anand Mahindra has been appointed as Chairman of the Skill University. He asked ISB leaders for guidance and suggestions for the new Skill University and residential schools.
He noted that ISB students are lucky, as their classrooms were built with investments of Rs 1.5 to Rs 2 crore each. Reflecting on his own past, he shared that he studied in a modest Telugu-medium government school with a single teacher. On Teacher’s Day, inaugurating such an impressive educational facility held special significance for him, and he thanked all his teachers.
