    Hyderabad: Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka has urged officials of Hydel projects to maximize power production. This is in response to the recent rainfall in the Krishna and Godavari catchment areas and other regions.

    At a meeting held at Praja Bhavan, the Deputy Chief Minister, who also manages the Energy department, reviewed the operations of thermal and hydel power stations with officials. He emphasized the importance of maintaining coal reserves for at least 17 days of power generation at each thermal power plant.

    Vikramarka stressed the need for commitment and dedication in the power sector, stating that there should be no room for carelessness or delays. He reminded the officials and staff that the power department operates 24/7 and plays a crucial role in serving the public by providing electricity.

    The Deputy Chief Minister assured the officials that he is available around the clock to address any issues and encouraged them to create a comprehensive plan to meet goals without problems in power generation.

    Reflecting on past issues, Vikramarka mentioned technical problems faced by hydel power projects like Srisailam and Jurala due to delayed decisions. He advised officials to avoid such situations in the future by making timely and effective decisions.
