Telangana’s Deputy Chief Minister, Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, believes that the poor will achieve their dream of owning homes only with a Congress-led government. While visiting Madhira in the Khammam district, he handed out documents to those benefiting from the Indiramma housing scheme.
Vikramarka pointed out that the government is dedicated to this cause. In the first year, it approved 4.50 lakh houses under the Indiramma scheme, spending Rs 22,500 crore. He claimed that no other state in India has provided such a large number of homes to its people.
He also shared that Telangana has 1.20 crore families, and 93 lakh of these families receive ration cards, benefiting from rice distribution programs. Vikramarka added that 56,000 jobs were created in the government’s first year. Moreover, the Rajiv Yuva Vikasam scheme aims to help unemployed people with a budget of Rs 8,000 crore.
