Wanaparthy: The district has chosen Gopalpet mandal as the testing ground for the new Bhu Bharati Act, and officials are now actively working in villages to put the plan into action.
On Monday, local authorities held meetings in the villages of Chennuru and Jayanna Thirumalapur to move the process forward. District Collector Adarsh Surabhi visited Jayanna Thirumalapur personally to inspect the ongoing work at the village secretariat.
During the visit, the Collector reviewed the total number of applications submitted by villagers for land-related issues. Tahsildar Pandu reported that a total of 61 applications had been received — 36 from Chennuru and 25 from Jayanna Thirumalapur.
The applications covered a wide range of concerns:
– 18 for land succession
– 2 related to missing surveys
– 1 pending mutation
– 1 for digital signature
– 2 complaints about extent variation
– 5 for name corrections
– 1 under Part B
– 3 for assigned patta issues
– 28 listed as other problems
Collector Surabhi stressed the importance of solving as many of these problems as possible right at the spot. He instructed officials to issue notices for succession cases without delay.
To speed up the process, he ordered that a Mee-Seva operator be placed at the site with a computer system. This setup will help verify and process the required documents from family members on the spot.
RDO Subrahmanyam, Tahsildars Raju and DT Tilak Reddy, along with other revenue staff, joined the Collector during his visit to ensure smooth coordination and quick action.
