Nagarkurnool – More than 60 National Health Mission (NHM) employees in Nagarkurnool district have finally received their salaries after going without pay for the last six months.

These employees, working in different health departments on a contract basis, had been under serious financial stress. Despite repeatedly reaching out to officials, their concerns were ignored for months.

Last month, The Hans India published a report titled, ‘NHM employees suffer without salaries for 6 months’, which highlighted the workers’ struggle and urged action from the authorities.

Soon after the report was released, the District Medical and Health Department stepped in. Officials processed and released the long-pending salaries, directly transferring the payments to the employees’ bank accounts.
