BJP declares perennial flooding as a persistent issue

The flood situation in Warangal has led to severe criticism of the State government, especially from the BJP opposition party. Errabelli Pradeep Rao, chairman of the Warangal Urban Cooperative Bank and a BJP leader, inspected several residential areas affected by the floods and demanded government assistance for the flood victims. He mentioned that the rainwater caused damage to houses and domestic appliances, and some houses were partially destroyed. Pradeep Rao called for compensation for those whose houses were damaged.

He also urged the district medical and health department to take necessary measures to prevent the spread of contagious diseases. Pradeep Rao requested the Greater Warangal Municipal Corporation (GWMC) officials to clear any clogging in order to allow proper stormwater flow in the nalas. He also suggested spraying bleaching powder in the colonies to prevent contagious diseases and using fogging to control mosquitoes.

Pradeep Rao emphasized that it is the government’s responsibility to provide ration and ensure safe drinking water supply for the flood victims. He criticized the ruling BRS leaders for their failure to prevent flooding in the city. Pradeep Rao personally participated in rescue operations and provided essential items and financial assistance to the flood victims. He was accompanied by other BJP leaders, including Vanisetty Rohith, Kandimalla Mahesh, and Amar.
