Hyderabad: BJP MP Dr. K. Laxman stated that Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s government is committed to following the ideals of Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyay, the founder of the Jana Sangh. During an event organized by the Telangana state unit to celebrate Upadhyay’s birth anniversary, Dr. Laxman spoke about Upadhyay’s theory of Antyodaya, which focuses on ensuring that development benefits reach the poor and needy.

Dr. Laxman emphasized that the central government is working hard to uplift the underprivileged. He explained that many welfare schemes are now being implemented digitally, helping to remove intermediaries. This ensures that people receive direct benefits, regardless of their caste or religion.

The BJP MP also mentioned that BJP President Jagat Prakash Nadda has initiated a series of nationwide service programs. These programs began on September 17, which is Prime Minister Modi’s birthday, and will continue until October 2, the birth anniversaries of Mahatma Gandhi and Lal Bahadur Shastri. As part of these efforts, BJP workers and leaders are organizing blood donation drives and medical camps to help those in need.

He warned that Congress’s promises are misleading and aimed at gaining power for corrupt reasons.

During the event, tributes were paid to Deen Dayal Upadhyay by several prominent BJP members, including Parliament Member Etela Rajender, former MP BB Patil, former minister Marri Sashidhar Reddy, and former MLAs Prem Singh Rathod, along with other state party officials.
