The BJP in Hyderabad questioned whether the newly inaugurated Secretariat was really a mosque, causing tension in the city. They tweeted that the building lacked cultural significance and looked like a mosque. However, many people on Twitter responded, reminding the BJP that other BJP-ruled states had buildings with tomb-like structures on them. Others criticized the BJP for trying to stir up communal hatred for political gain. People asked the BJP to stop spoiling the healthy relationship between Hindus and Muslims in Hyderabad.
