Two officials suspended by GHMC commissioner after girl’s death in Hyderabad

The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation Commissioner suspended two officials for not doing their job properly. This happened after a nine-year-old girl fell into an open manhole in Secunderabad and died. The officials were asked to explain why they didn’t do their job within 10 days. The girl, Mounika, fell into the manhole when she was buying milk with her brother. She was swept away by the water and her body was found later. The GHMC Disaster Response Force and local police found her body and took it to the hospital for a post-mortem. The locals are angry and want action taken against those responsible.
