Celebration of Dr. Louis Braille's Birth Anniversary in Gadwal
The 216th birth anniversary of Dr. Louis Braille, the inventor of the Braille script, was celebrated at the Blind Residential School in Raghavendra Colony, Gadwal. The event was organized by the Department of Women, Child, Disabled, and Senior Citizens Welfare.
District Additional Collector Narsing Rao and District Welfare Officer D. Sunanda were present as chief guests and led the celebrations.
During his speech, Narsing Rao praised Dr. Louis Braille, calling him a visionary who overcame his disability to achieve incredible accomplishments. He described Braille as a benefactor of the blind and emphasized how his invention of the Braille script has empowered visually impaired individuals globally.
Narsing Rao highlighted that the Braille system has allowed many blind individuals to succeed in various fields, including education, science, journalism, music, and the arts. He encouraged the students to make full use of the Braille script to excel in their studies and achieve great success in life.
