Hyderabad: On Tuesday, BRS leader T Harish Rao announced that turning on the Kalwakurthy pump houses marked a triumph for both BRS and KCR.
Harish Rao emphasized that activating the Kalwakurthy motors and releasing water was a significant win for BRS and KCR. He questioned whether the Congress government only acts when BRS protests. He criticized Revanth Reddy for not addressing the farmers’ issues until BRS highlighted their struggles.
The BRS leader challenged the government to consider if it would only respond when the opposition threatens to mobilize thousands of farmers to turn on the motors themselves.
He expressed concern over ignoring floodwaters from upstream states. Harish Rao urged the government to prioritize farmers over political strategies. He demanded that, similar to Kalwakurthy, the Kaleshwaram motors should be activated, reservoirs filled, and water directed to the fields.
