Hyderabad: T Harish Rao, a senior leader of the BRS, criticized Chief Minister Revanth Reddy on Wednesday for making false statements about Telangana’s irrigation and water rights.
Harish Rao accused Revanth Reddy and the Congress government of giving away Telangana’s water resources and trying to mislead the public with fake data and staged events. He expressed anger over a private meeting held by the Chief Minister with Congress members at Praja Bhavan. Harish Rao said, “Revanth Reddy, your government is betraying Telangana’s water rights. Despite showing you the facts repeatedly, you continue to spread lies.”
He also criticized Revanth Reddy for not being brave enough to have an open discussion and instead meeting only with his party members at Praja Bhavan. Harish Rao warned that this behavior insults democratic values and violates legislative rules. He mentioned that the BRS plans to take action in both the Assembly and the Legislative Council against this.
Harish Rao claimed that people are mocking the Congress government for not addressing farmers’ needs for water and instead focusing on misleading presentations. He accused Irrigation Minister Uttam Kumar Reddy and Finance Minister Bhatti Vikramarka of spreading false information. Harish Rao concluded by saying that the Congress party is deceiving Telangana with lies and false data, which has disgusted the entire society.
