BRS MLA Rega Kantha Rao and former MLA Payam Venkateswarlu are political opponents in Kothagudem district who use social media to fight each other. They both share photos and details of their social work, tours, and programmes on social media platforms to attract people’s attention. Rega Kantha Rao was elected as a Pinapaka MLA from the Congress party and later joined BRS. Payam Venkateswarlu was defeated by Rega Kanntha Rao (Congress) in the last Assembly elections and later joined Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy’s group after resigning from the BRS party.

Though they belong to the same party, they have a grudge against each other, and both created their own groups. Both leaders are now fighting each other on social media, with their shared comments amusing people, and their followers sharing and supporting them. However, some leaders and social activists are criticizing them for their below-the-belt comments.
