Hyderabad: The BRS party has begun preparations for local body elections. Starting this week, they will hold meetings for key workers at the constituency level.

KT Rama Rao, the BRS Working President, wants the party to spotlight alleged failures by the Congress. These meetings will focus on what they say are broken promises by the Congress government. Rama Rao has asked party leaders to discuss issues like the alleged neglect of farmers and other community sectors. He also criticized the perceived governance and sanitation problems in villages under the Revanth Reddy administration.

With court rulings suggesting that local elections might be soon, KTR wants the party to be ready. District party presidents will organize these meetings in each constituency. BRS MLAs, MLCs, MPs, ZP chairpersons, and other leaders will attend.

KTR also called for campaigns to inform the public about the Congress government’s perceived failures. He highlighted issues like the non-implementation of the Rythu Bandhu scheme and problems with urea and seed supplies. He criticized the lack of action on irrigation and power supply affecting farmers over the past 20 months. KTR urged party workers to discuss the Congress’s perceived failure to implement 42% reservations for Backward Classes (BCs) and to highlight unfulfilled promises like pensions for the elderly and monthly aid for women. He wants the public to remember the BRS’s protests against the Congress over the last 20 months. The meetings will be organized statewide this week to mobilize key workers.
