Hyderabad: On Sunday, BRS leaders accused the Congress of acting unfairly towards Telangana during its 19-month rule. They criticized Congress for making inappropriate remarks about BRS figures.

At a press meeting, BRS members Erolla Srinivas, Manne Goverdhan B Ramamurthy, K Vijay Kumar, and Allipuram Venkteshwar Reddy claimed Congress was targeting key leaders like KCR, KTR, and Harish Rao. Erolla Srinivas argued that Congress leaders were disrespectful, turning Gandhi Bhavan into a place of negativity. He stated they used insulting language against KCR, KTR, and Harish Rao. He also mentioned that when KTR tried to engage in a discussion, Congress leaders avoided it.

Srinivas accused Congress of neglecting Telangana’s interests, especially when AP CM Chandrababu Naidu diverted water resources. He noted that Congress ignored this issue until Harish Rao highlighted the Banakacherla problem. Srinivas dismissed Congress’s presentations as ineffective and claimed intellectuals feared a plan to merge Telangana with Andhra. He criticized Congress for tarnishing Telangana’s reputation nationally and questioned the absence of figures like Kodandaram and Akunuri Murali in addressing these issues.
