    New Delhi / HyderabadTelangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy has urged the central government to assign more electric buses to Hyderabad to meet the city’s increasing transportation needs.

    During a meeting in New Delhi on Saturday, Revanth Reddy spoke with Union Minister for Heavy Industries HD Kumaraswamy. The Chief Minister asked for an additional 800 electric buses under the PM-E Drive scheme.

    He explained that the central government had already approved 2,000 EV buses for Hyderabad. However, with the city’s rapid growth and rising demand for cleaner public transport, he stressed the need for more support.

    Reddy emphasized that expanding the electric bus fleet would reduce pollution and improve public transport services in Hyderabad. He said the extra buses would help make the city more sustainable and environmentally friendly.
