    Hyderabad’s Chief Minister, A Revanth Reddy, recently wrapped up a successful business tour in the United States. The trip resulted in securing investment plans worth over Rs 31,500 crore, which are expected to create more than 30,750 new jobs.

    During the visit, a delegation including IT and Industries Minister D Sridhar Babu and other officials held over 50 business meetings and three Roundtable Conferences. These took place in major cities like New York, Washington D.C., Dallas, and California. The focus was on initiatives such as the creation of a Future City, an AI City, rejuvenation of the Musi River, and establishing Telangana as a viable alternative in the global business landscape.

    The team organized Roundtable Conferences focusing on business, AI, and semiconductors, meeting with CEOs and business groups. They invited these leaders to consider Hyderabad and Telangana in their future projects.

    The delegation promoted Hyderabad and Telangana across various sectors. They secured new and expanded deals in IT, Lifesciences, Pharma, Data Centers, AI, Cloud services, Electric Vehicles, green energy, FMCG, and manufacturing.

    In the IT sector, significant announcements included the Charles Schwab GCC, a major financial corporation in America. The deal with Trinet opens new avenues in the HR solutions sector. There were substantial expansion announcements by global IT firms such as Cognizant and Arcesium, highlighting Hyderabad’s strengths in the IT sector.

    The pharma and life sciences sectors also saw new investments from around a dozen American companies. A Memorandum of Understanding with Corning on skilling and flow chemistry emphasizes the company’s commitment to Telangana and enhances the city’s R&D capabilities.

    Amgen, a leading biotech company, announced plans to establish a new R&D tech facility in Hyderabad, marking a significant development for the city. New GCCs by Zoetis Inc, a leader in the animal health sector, and expansions by HCA and Thermofisher are expected to further boost Telangana’s life sciences ecosystem.

    A notable highlight of the visit was Amazon’s decision to significantly expand its data center presence in Hyderabad, using the city as a hub for its India operations. Aurum Equity also announced plans for an AI-powered green data center. The delegation, led by CM Revanth Reddy, also engaged with major players like Apple, Google, and Stanford University.

    Revanth Reddy expressed optimism about the trip, stating, “The visit opened up numerous opportunities for partnerships and showcased our potential for new ventures. From AI to building the Future City, corporations and tech leaders are excited to share our vision.”

    IT and Industries Minister D Sridhar Babu added, “We exceeded our ambitious goals, generating significant interest in the American business community. This will lead to more investments and job creation. We are excited about the future and will continue to pursue more opportunities.”
