Citizen’s Gallant Warrior Award presented to RPF constable Sarla for ‘WardiNahi Ye Kaal Hai’

A constable named Sarla from the South Central Railway RPF was honored with the Citizen’s Gallant Warrior Award for her bravery by former President Ram Nath Kovind. She was given the award for saving passengers from dangerous situations. On March 9, 2022, Sarla rescued a woman who had fallen into the gap between the platform and the train when she tried to de-board the Devagiri Express at Nizamabad station. Then on September 19, Sarla rescued another woman who had accidentally boarded the wrong train and fell in the gap between the train and the platform while trying to get off. Scratching out serious injuries, Sarla saved both passengers’ lives. The award was presented at Dr. B R Ambedkar International Center, New Delhi. SCR GM Arun Kumar Jain expressed pride in the team member’s recognition.
