Hyderabad: On October 22, Telangana’s Chief Minister, A Revanth Reddy, directed officials to finish building the new Osmania Hospital in two years.
During a meeting at his home, he assessed the hospital’s construction progress. He emphasized the need for modern facilities to address future healthcare demands.
He urged that there be enough space for labs, wards, and medical tools. He also stressed that roads to the hospital should be built alongside the main project to minimize disruption for locals.
CM Revanth asked for a coordination team with members from the medical, police, GHMC, roads & buildings, and electricity departments. This team should visit the site every ten days to monitor progress and address issues.
He instructed the police and roads & buildings department to devise a detailed plan for hospital security, traffic, and road access.
The chief minister ordered the assignment of special officers for each hospital and medical college being built in Telangana, including those in Hyderabad. He set a deadline of June next year for their completion.
He stated, “The New Osmania Hospital is vital for our healthcare initiatives and should be beneficial for the next 100 years.”
