Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has directed officials to establish a dedicated chasing cell for continuous follow-up on revenue mobilization across all government departments. The directive comes as part of the government’s intensified efforts to strengthen revenue generation and meet budget targets. The Chief Minister emphasized that there is no room for negligence in revenue generation and resource mobilization, instructing departments to adopt a more proactive approach in monitoring and collecting revenues.
During the review meeting, CM Revanth Reddy specifically instructed HMDA (Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority) and TGIIC (Telangana State Industrial Infrastructure Corporation) to focus on increasing their revenues. He directed officials to plug leakages in critical revenue-generating departments including Commercial Taxes, Excise, Mining and other departments. The Chief Minister stressed the need to strengthen departmental capacity to improve overall performance and ensure that revenue targets are achieved through systematic monitoring and enforcement.
The Chief Minister also emphasized the importance of leveraging technology for better governance and transparency. He directed officials to use Artificial Intelligence to integrate beneficiary databases with Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) systems. This integration is expected to reduce duplication, prevent leakages, and ensure that government benefits reach the intended beneficiaries. Additionally, CM Revanth Reddy instructed departments to prepare budgets aimed at completing pending projects and ongoing works, while giving top priority to land acquisition matters that often delay project implementation.
CM Revanth Reddy called for the preparation of a realistic budget based on actual requirements rather than assumptions. He assured that the government will extend full support to all departments in their revenue generation efforts. The Chief Minister made it clear that departments must adopt a result-oriented approach and demonstrate tangible improvements in revenue collection. The government’s focus remains on strengthening the financial position of the state through better resource mobilization and efficient utilization of available resources.
