Hyderabad: Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has sent his heartfelt wishes to the people of Telangana as the Bonalu festival begins today. This annual celebration is marked by joy and enthusiasm.
The Chief Minister highlighted that the festival marks the start of the festive season in the Ashada month. He encouraged everyone to participate in the festival, which is a significant part of Telangana’s rich cultural heritage, with sincere devotion. This year’s first Bonam is dedicated to Jagadambika Yellamma from Golconda, bringing excitement to the twin cities.
He hopes that the festival will bring happiness, peace, and health to everyone. Additionally, he wishes for plentiful rains and a good harvest, contributing to the state’s overall prosperity with the Goddess’s blessings.
CM Revanth Reddy mentioned that the state government has allocated Rs 20 crore for special arrangements to support the Bonalu festivities in the cities. He instructed the police to ensure devotees’ safety and maintain strict security to avoid any incidents. All departments have been directed to work together efficiently.
