Hyderabad: A Revanth Reddy, the Chief Minister, stated that he has never misused his position for personal gain. He emphasized that his power is used solely for helping the poor and improving the state.
He shared these thoughts during the launch of “Hasitha Bhashpalu,” a book by Andesri, a well-known Telangana activist and poet.
Reddy noted the trust the people of Telangana have placed in him, giving him the mandate to lead. His goal is to transform Telangana into a 3 trillion US dollar economy by 2047, making it a global leader.
Reflecting on past leaders, he criticized those who claimed to support Telangana but amassed wealth, owning media outlets. True Telangana activists, he said, don’t boast. Reddy, who began his political journey in 2006, became Chief Minister in 17 years.
He criticized the previous Bharat Rashtra Samithi government for building lavish structures, which he believes are not true signs of progress. True development, he argued, is about enhancing the dignity of the poor.
Under his government, 4 lakh Indiramma houses have been built, and quality rice is provided to help the poor live with dignity. Addressing political critics, Reddy made it clear that he doesn’t consider anyone his enemy unless they have a significant status. He also mentioned he has never used his power against opponents.
