    Gadwal: Telangana Armed Struggle icon Chakali Ailamma played a key role in empowering women and standing up for their rights, said District Collector B.M. Santosh. On Thursday, the District Collector honored Ailamma by garlanding her portrait during her birth anniversary celebrations. The event was organized by the District Backward Classes Welfare Department at the IDOC premises.

    During the event, the District Collector spoke about Ailamma’s brave fight against the unjust practices of landlords. He pointed out that her struggle was not just for herself but for the rights of the people of Telangana. He mentioned that Ailamma’s efforts inspired many oppressed groups and that her actions were a symbol of strength and freedom for all.

    The Collector also emphasized Ailamma’s role in empowering women and urged the younger generation, especially women, to follow her example. He encouraged everyone to move forward with courage and determination, just as Ailamma did.

    Several officials attended the event, including A.O. Veerabhadrappa, ZP CEO Kanthamma, BC Welfare Department Officer Ramesh Babu, SC Welfare Department Officer Sarojamma, as well as staff from the Collector’s office.
