NagarKurnool: Collector Badavath Santosh made a surprise visit to the Sri Sathya Sai Para Boiled Rice Mill near the Nellikonda Agricultural Market Yard.

This inspection was prompted by a petition submitted by students from the Government Science Degree College in Nagar Kurnool. The students had raised concerns about pollution issues affecting their college and had reported these problems to District SP Gaikwad Vaibhav Raghunath.

During his visit, the Collector looked into the pollution problems around the rice mill. He questioned the mill owners about the sources of pollution. It was found that technical issues with the machinery were causing rice husk to leak from the mill. This rice husk was being carried by the wind to the areas around the college, causing discomfort.

The mill owners informed the Collector that they were aware of the issue and had already purchased the necessary equipment to fix the problem. They assured him that the pollution would be resolved within a week.
