    District Collector Urges Coordination for Tribal Village Development in Asifabad

    District Collector Venkatesh Dhotre has emphasized the importance of officials working together to improve the living conditions in tribal villages across the district. He highlighted the need for teamwork during a review meeting held at the Collectorate on Wednesday.

    The meeting was attended by several key officials, including Integrated Tribal Development Agency-Utnur Project Officer Khushboo Gupta, Additional Collector (Local Bodies) Deepak Tiwari, Forest Officer Neeraj Kumar, and tribal leaders such as Sir Medes and Patels. Discussions focused on addressing existing challenges and planning development initiatives related to roads, bridges, agriculture, education, and healthcare.

    Speaking at the meeting, the Collector stated that improving transportation in tribal villages is a priority. To this end, officials were instructed to submit proposals for necessary permissions from the Forest Department to facilitate the construction of roads and bridges. He also mentioned that ongoing efforts are being made to build roads, sewers, school buildings, and health sub-centers in these areas.

    Special attention is being given to education and healthcare in tribal villages. The Collector stressed the importance of ensuring regular attendance of teachers and students in schools. He also urged officials to improve access to clean drinking water through the Mission Bhagiratha scheme and to establish Rai Centers where needed.

    The Collector further suggested that a joint survey be conducted to resolve land disputes between the Forest and Revenue departments. He called for collaborative efforts to find lasting solutions to these issues.

    The meeting was attended by several district officials, including District Tribal Development Officer Ramadevi, District Rural Development Officer Dattaram, District Panchayat Officer Bikshapati, Lead District Manager Rajeshwari Joshi, and representatives from the Panchayat Raj, engineering, and medical health departments.
