Congress assures fulfillment of promise to develop Old City by the government

Following the Congress party’s victory in the recent elections, Sameer Waliullah, the president of Hyderabad District Congress Committee (DCC), congratulated the entire party for their success. He credited the win to the collective effort of every member and the people’s trust in the Congress party.

Sameer highlighted the importance of continuing to serve the public with dedication and mentioned that the party’s six guarantees would be promptly implemented by the new government. He expressed confidence that these guarantees would be acted upon immediately.

He pointed out that, for the first time, the Congress party focused its election campaign on both development and public well-being in the Old City, which had been neglected in the past. Sameer emphasized the commitment of the new Congress government to revive the development process.

Sameer assured that reviving SETWIN and strengthening QQSUDA, as promised in the party’s manifesto and Minorities Declaration, would be top priorities. He highlighted the Congress party’s track record of delivering on its promises.

While acknowledging the absence of winning candidates from the Old City in the Assembly election, Sameer suggested that representation should be given to the Old City in the Legislative Council through nomination. The DCC president reiterated the Congress party’s unwavering commitment to its promises and dedication to serving the people of Hyderabad.
