Hyderabad – The Congress Party has accused the BJP and BRS of trying to distract people from the growing success of the Congress-led government in Telangana.
At a press meeting held at Gandhi Bhavan, Congress spokesperson Syed Nizamuddin and former GHMC floor leader Md Wajid Hussain criticized both parties for spreading false information. They claimed that whenever Congress rolls out a major scheme, the BJP and BRS respond with negative campaigns and personal attacks.
“These parties rely on lies and drama to grab headlines,” Nizamuddin said. He accused leaders like KT Rama Rao, Harish Rao, Kavitha, G Kishan Reddy, Eatala Rajender, Bandi Sanjay, and Raghuvendra Rao of playing a “planned blame game” without offering any real evidence.
According to Nizamuddin, both the BJP and BRS are struggling with leadership issues. The BJP has not appointed a full-time state president, while the BRS is facing an internal power struggle involving Kavitha, KT Rama Rao, Harish Rao, and Santosh Rao. He said this confusion has weakened their political strength and hurt their party workers’ morale.
Defending Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, the Congress leader said the rising popularity of the CM has left the opposition nervous. “Revanth Reddy is focused on delivering results. People trust him, and that’s why the opposition is panicking,” he added.
Nizamuddin highlighted several achievements by the Congress government in just six months. These include the Free Fine Rice Scheme, restarting irrigation projects, and launching new recruitment drives. He emphasized that the government is focused on real work, not just publicity.
He also praised the successful hosting of the Miss World 2025 pageant in Hyderabad, calling it a proud moment for the country. This event happened despite national security concerns, including Operation Sindoor, which targeted cross-border terrorism.
While the IPL was postponed, Hyderabad welcomed the global event smoothly. “This proves Telangana is secure and capable,” Nizamuddin said. He also criticized the opposition for ignoring this achievement instead of celebrating it with the rest of the country.
