Hyderabad – The Telangana Gazetted Junior Lecturers Association (TGJLA-475) met with the Telangana Board of Intermediate Education (TGBIE) to raise concerns about the problems faced by newly appointed junior lecturers in government junior colleges.
TGJLA-475 presidents, Dr. Vasukula Srinivas and Dr. Kuppisetty Suresh, had a detailed discussion with TGBIE Secretary Krishna Aditya on Wednesday. They stressed the urgent need to complete the regularisation process for lecturers who joined in May 2023.
The lecturers pointed out that some individuals are trying to block their annual salary increments. In response, the Secretary assured support and advised them to report any deliberate delays or obstacles to the Inter-Departmental Education Officers.
The Secretary also asked the lecturers to fully support the Inter Advanced Supplementary Exams, which will start on May 22. He urged everyone to focus on increasing student enrollment in Government Junior Colleges for the 2025–26 academic year and to maintain high standards of education.
During the meeting, TGJLA-475 shared several ideas to improve the condition of government junior colleges. One key issue discussed was the lack of transportation for students. The Secretary promised to take this matter to the District Intermediate Education Officers and the District Collector to ensure proper transport services are available starting this academic year.
TGJLA-475 also plans to work with the District Collector for setting up hostel facilities for students. They aim to boost student attendance and improve overall learning conditions.
Lastly, the staff in government junior colleges were encouraged to work with greater commitment and help build a better educational environment for students across Telangana.
