ADILABAD: BRS working president KT Rama Rao has warned that people might soon revolt against Congress leaders for not fulfilling their promises. He said people are frustrated with the government’s failures and may even take extreme actions against the Congress.

KT Rama Rao (KTR) was speaking at a farmers’ protest held at Ramlila Maidan in Adilabad district on Thursday. He expressed his willingness to face jail time if it meant fighting for the welfare of farmers and the general public. KTR hinted that Congress leaders would soon face consequences for their broken promises.

He shared a story about meeting women who were protesting in Ditchpally. The women, who were family members of policemen, were staging a sit-in because they were unhappy with the current policing system. KTR pointed out that under Congress rule, even the families of policemen have been forced to protest.

KTR also blamed Congress for cheating people and failing to keep promises like waiving off loans under the Rythu Bandhu scheme. He encouraged farmers to file cases against Congress for not delivering on their promises. He suggested that if all sections of society—farmers, youth, and others—file cheating cases, there wouldn’t be a single Congress leader left untouched.

He advised the police to remember that no one’s power lasts forever and warned them not to engage in unethical activities. KTR claimed that the police behaved more responsibly during BRS rule and said that if officers overstep their duties, their names would be recorded and dealt with later.

KTR also criticized the Congress government for giving permissions for 2,000 houses near Khanapur pond in Adilabad that were later set to be demolished by officials. He concluded by stating that if cases are filed against farmers, they will not back down easily.
