CPI State Secretary Kunamneni Sambasivarao said that Telangana became a part of India because of the sacrifices and struggles of the communists. He criticized the BJP and BRS parties for trying to take credit for Telangana’s history, even though they were not involved in the peasant armed struggle. Sambasivarao accused the BJP of distorting the rich history of the armed struggle. He also claimed that Nizam surrendered to Patel’s army and colluded with them to see where the Communists would gain power. Sambasivarao questioned why the official organization of the merger day, as proposed by KCR, has not taken place yet.
