The Cyberabad Police Commissionerate has been honored with the prestigious Data Security Council of India (DSCI) Excellence Award 2024. The award was presented during the NASSCOM-DSCI Annual Information Security Summit held in New Delhi.
This recognition highlights the Cyberabad police’s efforts in tackling cyber threats and promoting online safety. Their dedicated cybercrimes unit, which includes the Cybercrime Police Station (CCPS) and the Telangana Police Centre of Excellence (TGPCC), has been instrumental in these efforts.
Among the department’s innovations is the crime OS tool, developed by TGPCC, which helps streamline investigations. Another key initiative is the establishment of the Chief Information Security Officers’ (CISO) Council. Both initiatives showcase the department’s commitment to advancing cybersecurity.
