Tarek Fatah, a Canadian author born in Pakistan in 1949, passed away after being sick for a long time. He was known for his progressive views on Islam and terrorism. His daughter Natasha confirmed his death on Twitter. Fatah authored books like ‘Chasing a Mirage: The Tragic Illusion of an Islamic State’ and ‘The Jew is Not My Enemy: Unveiling the Myths that Fuel Muslim Anti-Smitism’.
Natasha also called her father the “Lion of Punjab,” the “Son of Hindustan,” and the “Lover of Canada.” She said that he was a fighter for justice and a voice for the oppressed. His revolution would continue with everyone who knew and loved him.
Fatah migrated to Canada in the early 1980s.
