Gadwal District Collector B.M. Santhosh has asked doctors to stop their protest after a recent attack on doctors from private hospitals. A meeting was held at the collector’s office with District SP Srinivasa Rao, private doctors, and district officials. The doctors had planned a bandh in response to the attack, but during the meeting, the District Collector stressed the importance of both doctors and the public showing restraint to avoid such incidents in the future.

The doctors agreed to end their protest, and an independent committee was formed to investigate the incident. The District Collector emphasized that people should not take the law into their own hands and should report incidents to the police for legal action. He assured that measures would be taken to prevent similar issues in the future. The doctors were encouraged to communicate clearly with patients’ families about treatment outcomes to prevent misunderstandings.
