The annual ‘Fish Prasadam’ will be given out for free to the public on June 8 at Exhibition grounds. The distribution will start at 11 am on June 8 and continue until 10 am on June 9.
The Bathini family is organizing the distribution of fish prasadam specifically for people with Asthma and other respiratory issues.
Every year, the Bathini brothers distribute the fish prasadam on the auspicious ‘Mrigasira Karthi’ day, which falls on June 8. This tradition has been going on for over a century.
Before starting the distribution, the family will perform a special puja at their ancestral house in Doodh Bowli.
Last year, around two lakh people received the fish prasadam, and this year they expect even more. The Bathini family has requested the government to arrange for police presence and Murrel fingerlings for the distribution.
Bathini Amarnath Goud asked the Telangana government to provide RTC buses for transportation to the event. They have also sought assistance from various departments for a smooth distribution process.
The Badrivishal Pannalal Pitti Trust and Agarwal Seva Dal will set up a camp to offer free meals, snacks, water, and buttermilk to all patients and volunteers.
