Gadwal: District Superintendent of Police T. Srinivasa Rao led a significant vehicle inspection at YSR Chowk in Gadwal town on Tuesday night. This operation involved 40 police officers and staff.
The police checked vehicle documents, conducted drunk-driving tests, and looked for traffic violations during the operation.
The SP explained to the media that these checks are routine for maintaining law and order. They focused on verifying documents, using breathalyzers, issuing fines for traffic offences, and seizing vehicles without proper documentation.
YSR Chowk is near the interstate border, making it a key area for monitoring. The operation inspected 55 vehicles, found 4 drunk-driving cases, and seized 23 vehicles due to missing number plates or invalid documents. The checks were planned to continue until midnight.
The operation was led by DSP Y. Mogilayya, CI Tanguturi Srinu, and Town SI Kalyan Kumar, with support from traffic and Darur-Maldakal SIs and 35 police personnel.
This effort aims to enhance road safety, reduce accidents, and prevent crime through a strong police presence in the area.
