Mahabubnagar: The authorities of the Telangana State Engineering, Agriculture, and Pharmacy Common Entrance Test (TGEAPCET) 2025 have announced the internal sliding results for engineering students. This process lets students switch to their desired branches within their current colleges, aligning better with their interests.
In the Palamuru area, many colleges from the Old Mahabubnagar district participated. Jayaprakash Narayan College of Engineering in Mahabubnagar had 283 students assigned to branches. The most popular choices were Computer Science Engineering (CSE) and Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning (AIM), each with 90 students. The Computer Science & Design (CSD) branch had 37 students. Palamuru University in Mahabubnagar allotted 191 students, mostly in CSM (64 seats) and CSD (61 seats). Smaller colleges like GK Institute and Sri Vishweshwaraya Institute of Technology each had six students, mainly in CSE and AIM. JNTUH College in Wanaparthy assigned 80 students, with branches like ECE, CSM, and CSE being preferred. Government Engineering College in Kosgi had 49 students, mostly in CSE and CSM.
The data shows high interest in core fields such as CSE, AIM, and CSD, while newer branches like CSIT, IT, and Mechanical Engineering (MEC) saw fewer takers. Across Telangana, 97,369 candidates verified their certificates, with 9,419 opting for internal sliding. There were 26,122 options submitted, with 13,453 seats open for sliding. Of these, 3,590 seats were filled, leaving 13,453 vacant, highlighting different preferences and seat availability. Private colleges had the most filled seats, followed by private universities, universities, and government colleges.
Students who finished the final allotment phase need to report to their assigned colleges as scheduled. Those who chose internal sliding must download the new allotment order and join their new branch in the same college by 23rd August 2025. This phase strengthens the admission process in the Palamuru region, giving students a fair chance to enter their preferred branches, reflecting the overall engineering admission trends in Telangana.
