Erra Gangireddy, who is accused in the murder case of former minister YS Vivekananda Reddy, had his bail cancelled by the Telangana High Court. Gangireddy has been ordered to surrender by the 5th of next month in Hyderabad CBI court. If he does not surrender, he can be arrested. The CBI had filed a petition seeking cancellation of bail, as they believe Gangireddy may influence witnesses if he is out on bail.
The CBI has claimed that Gangireddy was the one who planned the murder of Viveka and tampered with evidence. The Telangana High Court has given the CBI two months to complete their investigation in the Viveka case. Gangireddy’s bail will only be cancelled until June 30, but he can be granted bail again after July 1.
