Karimnagar District Collector, Pamela Satpathy, has launched a new initiative to address women’s health issues. As part of the plan, a ‘Gram Sabha’ will be organized every Friday with the aim of solving health-related problems specifically for women.

Pamela Satpathy emphasized the importance of women’s health, stating, “If a woman is healthy, the whole house will be happy.” She pointed out that some women neglect their health, particularly after pregnancy, which leads to illness. This program is meant to tackle such problems and raise awareness.

The initiative will be conducted district-wide in collaboration with the ICDS (Integrated Child Development Services), Women’s Welfare, Medical Health, and Sakhi departments. These departments will work together every Friday to address health concerns in the community.

At these events, women and children will participate in discussions focused on health issues. The program will also aim to identify those suffering from malnutrition, low weight, and other health problems. The District Collector and officials from various departments will be present to encourage participation and ensure the program’s success.

Medical staff, such as Asha workers, ANMs (Auxiliary Nurse Midwives), and medical officers, will set up health camps at the event locations. They will conduct necessary medical tests, and if needed, refer individuals to hospitals for further treatment.

Pamela Satpathy also highlighted that anaemic individuals will receive medicines and be sent to hospitals for follow-up. Underprivileged children will be given proper nutrition through Anganwadi Centres. The program will also focus on ensuring that pregnant women receive the care they need for safe deliveries.

The main goal, according to the Collector, is to make sure that every woman remains healthy. She encourages women to take full advantage of the Aroghya Mahila program, which is designed to provide them with better healthcare services.
