The Jawaharlal Nehru Journalists MAC Housing Society in Hyderabad is warning the public about fraudulent individuals trying to sell land in Survey No 25/2 of Pet Basheerabad Village, Qutbullapur Mandal in Medchal-Malkajgiri district. This land belongs to the State government, and 38 acres of it were given to the society in 2008. The land is under the custody of the Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority since 2005.
The Supreme Court has directed the State government to hand over the possession of 38 acres in Survey No 25/2 of Pet Basheerabad Village to the Jawaharlal Nehru Journalists MAC Housing Society. However, some people who claim to own the land have been trying to sell it, despite losing title suits against the State government in court.
These individuals have been abusing the legal process and hiding previous court rulings that found they did not have a valid claim to the land. The Civil Court in Medchal-Malkajgiri district stated that the claimants failed to prove ownership of the property, and the High Court dismissed another group’s claim because they never challenged the government’s ownership in revenue records.
