Hyderabad: On August 17, the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) will host an adoption event for local puppies at Jalagam Vengalrao Park in Banjara Hills from 6 am to 10 am. GHMC encourages people to “Be a Hero. Adopt, Don’t Shop” by welcoming a new furry companion into their homes.
The goal is to find caring homes for stray puppies across the city. Various locations will participate, allowing individuals to meet and adopt these pets.
These puppies are healthy, vaccinated, and dewormed. They are known for being playful, loyal, and easy to care for, making them ideal pets. Adoption is free; all you need is love. This is a great opportunity to make a positive impact. GHMC aims to inspire more people to adopt instead of buying pets, helping to lower the stray dog numbers in the city.
GHMC Commissioner R.V. Karnan shared the news about the adoption drive on his official X account.
