Godavari Flood Reaches Second Warning Level at Bhadrachalam

Bhadrachalam:

On Monday at 2 pm, officials reported that the Godavari River flood level had reached the second warning level of 48 feet. Earlier in the day, at 7 am, the water level was at 46 feet and gradually increased to the warning level by the afternoon.

Given the forecast, officers have set up 45 rehabilitation centers in the Bhadrachalam division and ten in the temple town.

Precautionary measures are being taken to ensure safety. Buffer stocks are being maintained, and health staff have been appointed in all mandals to prevent the spread of seasonal diseases.

A control room has been established at the Sub Collector Office for close monitoring of the situation. Officers are keeping a minute-by-minute watch.

Meanwhile, 49,574 cusecs of water have been released into the Godavari, and 25 gates have been opened from the Taliperu project.
