In Hyderabad, Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka approved a proposal by senior officials in the electricity department. They set a 17.651% Dearness Allowance (DA) for electricity employees. This adjustment is based on the rising prices in the open market and is reviewed every January and July. For this year, the new rate will apply from July 1, 2025. This decision benefits 71,387 employees, artisans, and pensioners in the electricity sector.
The increased DA will aid 3,036 employees, 3,769 artisans, and 2,446 pensioners in TG Transco, totaling 9,251 beneficiaries. In Gen Co, 6,913 employees, 3,583 artisans, and 3,579 pensioners will benefit. Meanwhile, in SPDCL, 11,957 employees, 8,244 artisans, and 8,244 pensioners will receive the adjustment. NPDCL will see 9,728 employees, 3,465 artisans, and 6,115 pensioners benefit. Overall, the new DA rate will positively impact 71,387 individuals across these sectors.
