The Hyderabad Narcotics Enforcement Wing (H-NEW) has successfully deported a foreign national who was illegally staying in India after her visa expired and was allegedly involved in drug-related activities.
Juliana Victor Nabitaka, a 27-year-old Ugandan national, was apprehended by H-NEW officials within the Tolichowki Police Station limits based on credible intelligence. The authorities discovered that she had been associating with drug peddlers operating in Bengaluru and Hyderabad.
According to official information, Nabitaka had entered India on 12th February 2024 on a tourist visa. Her visa validity expired on 18th January 2025, but she continued to stay in the country illegally and reportedly engaged in unlawful activities.
During the apprehension, the foreign national failed to produce any valid documents to justify her stay in India. Following this, H-NEW initiated deportation proceedings in accordance with established procedures.
The narcotics enforcement wing worked in coordination with the Foreigners Regional Registration Office (FRRO) Hyderabad to complete the necessary formalities. Officials obtained an exit permit for Nabitaka and also blacklisted her from re-entering India in the future.
On 21st December 2025, Nabitaka was escorted and deported to the Republic of Uganda from Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGIA), Hyderabad. The deportation was carried out to prevent activities that could be detrimental to national security.
This action by H-NEW is part of ongoing efforts to curb drug trafficking and illegal immigration in the city. The enforcement wing has been actively monitoring and acting against individuals involved in the drug trade, regardless of their nationality.
H-NEW has made an appeal to the public to stay away from drugs and contribute to creating a drug-free Hyderabad. The authorities have requested citizens to report any information related to drug abuse or suspicious activities.
Anyone with information about drug-related activities can contact H-NEW on 8712661601. The enforcement wing emphasized that public cooperation is crucial in achieving the goal of making Hyderabad drug-free.
