During the winter, haze and pollution in Delhi and nearby states get worse because of stubble burning in fields. This has made it hard for people to breathe. To address this issue, the Environment Minister, Gopal Rai, has created the Winter Action Plan. Under this plan, more than 5000 acres of fields in Delhi will be sprayed with Bio-D-composer to control pollution.

Gopal Rai mentioned in a video conference that the Delhi government has been working on a winter action plan for several years to tackle pollution. This year, they will spray the Pusa Bio-de-composer solution on around 5000 acres of land to help farmers avoid burning stubble.

Gopal Rai also shared that Delhi’s pollution has decreased by 30% between 2016 and 2023. With the government’s efforts, pollution in the capital will be completely managed in the near future.
